What is NFIB?
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is the nation’s leading small-business advocacy association, with offices in Washington, D.C., and all 50 state capitals. NFIB’s powerful network of grassroots activists send their views directly to state and federal lawmakers through our unique member-only ballot, thus playing a critical role in supporting America’s free enterprise system.
The National Federation of Independent Business is the leading advocacy organization representing small and independent businesses. A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization founded in 1943, NFIB represents the consensus views of its members in Washington and all 50 state capitals.
NFIB’s mission is to promote and protect the right of its members to own, operate and grow their businesses. NFIB also gives its members a power in the marketplace. By pooling the purchasing power of its members, the National Federation of Independent Business gives members access to many business products and services at discounted costs. NFIB also provides timely information designed to help small businesses succeed.
The National Federation of Independent Business’s Young Entrepreneur Foundation, Research Foundation and Legal Foundation are mission critical components of NFIB. The Young Entrepreneur Foundation promotes the importance of free enterprise and entrepreneurship to young audiences. The Research Foundation researches policy-related small business problems and affects public debate by making its findings widely available.
The Legal Foundation fights for small businesses in the courts and seeks to educate small employers on legal issues. Your tax-deductible contributions to these charitable organizations help fund the ever-growing needs in the small business community for research, education, and representation.
